  • Facilities: Kicking Horse Campground is an unserviced campground, ideal for tent camping and accommodating motorhomes or trailers up to 27 feet.
  • Site Amenities: Each campsite comes equipped with a firepit and an attached cooking grill, allowing campers to enjoy evening campfires while surrounded by nature.
  • Capacity: Campsites can accommodate a maximum of six people including children. Please supervise children to ensure safety and avoid wandering into neighboring sites.
  • Quiet Hours: From 11 p.m. to 7 a.m., quiet hours are strictly enforced. Music, campfires, alcohol, and cannabis consumption are prohibited during this time to maintain a peaceful atmosphere.

Camping Regulations

To ensure a safe and enjoyable camping experience, visitors must adhere to specific regulations:

  • Campsites are accessible on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Campsites must remain free of wildlife attractants. Store food securely and never leave it unattended.
  • Fires must remain within designated metal fire rings; portable gas burning firepits are permitted, while rock rings are not allowed.
  • Generators can be used during specified hours to minimize noise disruption.

Reservation & Fees

Reservations for Kicking Horse Campground can be made online or via phone up to 2 p.m. on the day of booking. A camping permit is required, available at the campground kiosk upon arrival. Campers are encouraged to have exact change or a credit card for any additional needs at self-registration sites. Note that debit transactions are not accepted.

Wildlife Safety

Kicking Horse Campground is located within a wildlife-sensitive area. To enhance safety for both campers and the local wildlife, ensure that:

  • All food, toiletries, and scented items are stored in your vehicle or hard-sided trailer when not in use.
