Available Campsites

Overlook Park primarily serves as a picnic and recreational area, as it is classified for day-use only. Currently, overnight camping is not permitted here. However, the park features two well-equipped picnic shelters that each accommodate up to 100 guests, making it an excellent venue for family reunions, picnics, and special gatherings.

Amenities and Facilities

  • Picnic Shelters: Two large shelters are provided for group gatherings, equipped with flush toilets and drinking water for convenience.
  • Recreational Facilities: Enjoy on-site amenities including a horseshoe pit, tetherball pole, sand volleyball court, softball field, and a playground.
  • Wildlife Viewing: The park is rich in wildlife, making it a prime spot for birdwatching, with species such as bald eagles and wild turkeys frequently spotted.
  • Fire Safety: Fires must be contained in designated fire rings, and regulations prohibit cutting down live trees or bringing firewood from out of the area to protect local ecosystems.

  • The park closes at 10:00 p.m., at which time the gates are locked.
