With a diverse range of camping options, including beachfront RV sites and tenting areas with ocean views, Pachena Bay Campground has something for every camper.

Camping Options

110 Tent Sites: Available in various sizes to accommodate individual and group needs.
4 Group Sites: Featuring 3 double sites and 1 triple site, perfect for family gatherings or friends camping trips.
7 Oceanview Sites: Enjoy spectacular ocean vistas from these premium sites.
RV Sites: Full-service sites that include water and power hookups. Sites A6 to A12 offer additional amenities.

Campground Amenities

Pachena Bay Campground is equipped with modern amenities to enhance your camping experience:

Washroom Facilities: Two public bathrooms and a custom-designed washhouse featuring coin-operated hot showers and accessible flush toilets.
Firewood Sales: Firewood is available for purchase at the campground office.
Pet Policy: Dogs must be kept on leashes, well-managed, and cleaned up after.
Quiet Hours: Respect the peace of fellow campers with quiet time observed from 11 PM onwards.

Camping Rules and Regulations

To ensure everyone has an enjoyable experience, we follow specific campground rules:

Check-in and check-out must occur at the campground office.
Alcohol consumption is limited to individual campsites, and must not be consumed in public areas or the beach.
No cutting of wood on the beach or in the forest is permitted.
ATVs and dirt bikes are prohibited within the campground.
Campfires are allowed except when fire bans are in effect; all must be supervised and fully extinguished by guests.
Each site is limited to one tent or RV, with extra charges for additional tents or RVs.
Garbage disposal must be adhered to with all waste placed in designated receptacles.

The bay itself features a magnificent sandy beach, stretching 1200 meters long and nearly 200 meters wide at low tide. It is perfect for morning strolls, sports activities, or simply soaking up the sun and observing the diverse marine life.

By Boat: The MV Frances Barkley offers transportation from Port Alberni to Bamfield.
By Air: Seaplanes operate regularly from Vancouver International Airport to Bamfield.
