Location and Access

Accessible via Wellington Dam Road, Potters Gorge is conveniently located approximately:

  • 28 km from Collie
  • 51 km from Bunbury via Coalfields Highway and River Road

Parking facilities are available in a sealed parking area with unmarked bays close to the campground, ensuring easy access for both campers and day visitors.

Camping Information

This campground features 59 campsites designed for tents and swags with varying surfaces, sizes, and layouts to accommodate different camping preferences. All campsites are unpowered but come equipped with:

  • Picnic tables
  • Fire rings (campfires permitted when conditions allow)

Each campsite allows generator use between 8 am to 6 pm, offering comfort as you enjoy the great outdoors.

Potters Gorge Campground is well-equipped with an array of facilities to enhance your camping experience, including:

  • Toilets: Non-flush pit toilets
  • Picnic Areas: Sheltered areas with BBQ facilities
  • Food Preparation Areas: Dishwashing sinks with cold rainwater (though supply is not guaranteed year-round)
  • Portable Toilet Dump Point: Available for waste disposal

Do note that drinking water is not provided on site. Rainwater may be available seasonally, but it’s recommended to bring your own potable water.

  • Bookings: Essential and can be made up to 180 days in advance
  • Camping Fees: $20 for adults per night, $5 for children
  • No Pets Allowed: To protect the local wildlife
  • Firewood: Bring your own; collecting wood in the park is prohibited
  • Seasonal Considerations: Extremely hot conditions can occur from December to April and nights can be cold from June to September
