Camping Amenities

  • Campsites: Rockwood features around 46 serviced campsites equipped with electricity and water, 16 full-service sites that include water, hydro, and septic, as well as 43 unserviced sites. Each campsite can accommodate up to six people.
  • Group Camping: Ideal for family reunions or corporate picnics, group campsites can be reserved for recognized youth groups. Group camping rates are very affordable and require a minimum reservation length.
  • Facilities: The campground includes essential amenities such as flush toilets, timed push-button showers, and vault toilets. Picnic tables are plentiful throughout the area. For cooking, visitors can utilize designated barbecue areas.
  • Restrooms: Facilities are well-maintained, with washrooms available at the Pineview and Cedar Valley campgrounds, featuring flush toilets and showers.
  • Accessibility: The campground is equipped to ensure accessibility, although services are limited during the off-season (October 16 to April 30).

Natural Features

Rockwood is renowned for its stunning landscapes created during the last ice age, featuring:

  • Glacial Bluffs: Towering formations ranging from five to 30 meters high.
  • Potholes: Over 200 unique glacial potholes varying in size, perfect for exploration.
