Set in the heart of rural Dorset, Tatton Farm Campsite offers a unique camping experience on a working dairy farm. As a 4th generation family-run operation, we are excited to share our 450 acres of picturesque landscape, where guests can reconnect with nature and enjoy the peaceful ambiance of the countryside.

Location & Accessibility

Tatton Farm is conveniently located just a short drive from Weymouth’s famous sandy beaches and the stunning Jurassic Coast, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Access is easy via the main Dorchester Road or Buckland Ripers, allowing for exploration of nearby attractions like Lulworth Cove and the ghost village of Tyneham.

Pitches & Accommodation

Our campsite features generous grass pitches suitable for:

• 1 tent (max size of 4.5m wide x 10m long)
• 1 touring caravan
• 1 motor-home
• 1 trailer tent with accompanying vehicle

Each pitch includes space for one car. Please note that pitches are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, with a maximum of 6 guests per pitch.

Facilities

While we offer a back-to-basics camping experience, our facilities include:

• Clean toilets and hot showers
• Washing up area
• Chemical disposal point

Please remember to take care with your waste, as only general rubbish and recyclables should be left in our bins. Bulky items must be taken home with you.

Dog-Friendly Camping

At Tatton Farm, we understand that dogs are part of the family. We welcome up to two well-behaved dogs per pitch for an additional charge. All dogs must be kept on a lead, and we have designated areas nearby where they can run freely. We simply ask that you clean up after your pets to maintain the cleanliness of our farm.

Activities & Surroundings

A myriad of walking routes surround the farm, including paths leading to iconic spots such as Hardy’s Monument and the coastal views of Weymouth. For those seeking relaxation, enjoy the tranquility of our wooded areas where you may spot wildlife, including deer and a variety of birds.

Farm Life Experience

Immerse yourself in real farm life, where you can witness our herd of dairy cows and the authentic working conditions of a family-run farm. Each morning, awake to the soothing sounds of nature and the gentle mooing of our cows—a true escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Guest Conduct & Safety

We prioritize the safety and comfort of all our guests. As such, we ask that noise levels be kept to a minimum after 9 PM to respect other campers. Additionally, ball games are permitted in designated areas to prevent damage to property. Please adhere to a strict 5 mph speed limit within the campsite for everyone’s safety.

Planning Your Visit

Pitches are available from 1 PM, and we kindly request that guests vacate by 11:30 AM on their departure day. If you’ll be arriving late or need accommodations beyond regular check-in times, please notify us in advance. We’re here to ensure your stay with us is as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
