Camping Fees
- Adults (18+ years): $10 per night
- Children (5-17 years): $5 per night
- Infants (0-4 years): Free
Payment can be made with a DOC Campsite Pass, which is preferred, or via cash at the self-registration stand. If a camp warden is present, fees can also be paid directly to them. Make sure to put the correct fee in the provided envelope and display the receipt on your vehicle or tent.

- Tent Sites: 50 non-powered/tent sites available on a first come, first served basis.
- Scenic Water Activities: The clear waters of the Waiohine River feature deep pools that are perfect for swimming and have rocks that are ideal for jumping off.
- Unique Tracks: Access to stunning walking tracks that lead to picturesque areas along the river, with some routes leading to secret beaches.
- Fire Regulations: Fires are allowed in designated fireplaces, provided there is no fire ban in effect. Make sure to check current rules before lighting a fire.

Getting There
The access road, Waiohine Gorge Road, is gravel and may have rough and narrow sections, including two forded stream crossings. Visitors are advised to drive carefully to fully enjoy the scenic journey towards this camping haven.

As the campsite is situated on conservation land, dogs are permitted on a leash, and all visitors are encouraged to respect the natural environment to ensure its preservation for future generations.
