Water and Safety

Visitors must treat water taken from the creek before consumption. Given the distance, it is highly recommended that guests bring their own drinking water.
As with any wilderness camping experience, safety is paramount. Be aware of bear presence in the area, strong currents, and occasionally severe weather conditions that could impact your stay. Proper preparation is essential for a safe and enjoyable experience.
Accessible Recreation Activities
- Fishing: Anglers can expect to catch king salmon in May and June, coho salmon in August and September, and halibut in the waters of Fredrick Sound.
- Boating: Access to the cabin is only possible by float plane or boat, with conditions dependent on the tides.
- Hiking: The extensive beach area offers great opportunities to explore the natural beauty surrounding the cabin.
- Whale Watching: Experience the spectacular sight of whales along the migratory feeding grounds, an unforgettable highlight for visitors.
