Situated within the stunning Prescott National Forest at an elevation of 5,641 feet, White Spar Campground is a premier destination for nature enthusiasts and outdoor adventurers alike. Nestled in a serene forest of ponderosa pine, oak, and manzanita, this campground offers a picturesque setting just 2.7 miles south of downtown Prescott and easily accessible from Highway 89.

Available Campsites

White Spar Campground features a total of 52 single and 4 double occupancy campsites. Each campsite is equipped with:

  • Picnic table
  • Steel fire ring and/or concrete block grill
  • Established tent pad or an open area for tent camping

Accommodations at the campground include:

  • 5 pull-through sites
  • 34 back-in sites
  • 17 parallel parking asphalt-surfaced driveways

Accessible campsites are available for visitors with specific needs, and facilities include four vault restrooms, trash dumpsters, and seasonal water hydrants. Note that there are no RV hook-ups or sanitary dump stations on-site.

  • Vehicle Limitations: Campsites allow a maximum of one camp unit and up to two vehicles at a double campsite. Extra vehicle fees may apply.
  • Fire Restrictions: Fires are permitted only in designated areas. Wood fires may be restricted during dry conditions.
  • Stay Limits: Campers cannot exceed a 14-day stay within a 30-day period in Prescott National Forest.
  • Check-In Requirements: At least one person must occupy the campsite after camping equipment is set up.

Visitors should also be aware that the campground can close during heavy snow events, and water is not guaranteed in non-peak seasons.
