Our Story – How It All Started
Let’s be honest: we didn’t set out to build a camping platform. We just wanted to go camping.
It all began when we (Martina & Samo) bought a very old RV — 24 years old, to be exact — and proudly named him Dimitry. We dreamed of road trips, starry skies, and quiet mornings in nature. But what we didn’t expect? The real camping challenge wasn’t setting up the RV or fixing a leaky roof… it was actually booking a camping pitch!
Emails back and forth. No idea if the spot was actually available. No clear info on shade, terrain, or distance to the toilet. And when we finally arrived — we’d spend forever driving around, trying to find “the good spots” while others were already chilling with a beer.
So, we thought: there has to be a better way.
We talked to our friend Boštjan, who had been feeling the same way. That’s when the idea for CamplinQ was born.
We wanted to create a super simple platform — something that we ourselves would love to use. A place where you can easily:
- See what the pitch actually looks like
- Choose shade, distance to facilities, surface type
- Book right away — no emails, no stress
- Arrive with confidence, knowing your perfect pitch is waiting
What CamplinQ Helps With
If you’ve ever:
- Sent 10 emails to different campsites without hearing back
- Been told “you can choose your pitch when you arrive” (but all the good ones are gone by then)
- Walked around a campsite in the heat with your camper, trying to guess which spot might work…
Then you know the pain.
The idea of CamplinQ is to help campers book their dream pitch in just a few clicks. Open the map, pick your pitch, and hit book. That’s it.
We’re campers ourselves, so we’re building this the way we wish it had existed when we started.
Where We Are Now
Today, CamplinQ serves campers around the world, offering an extensive database of campsites with detailed descriptions — and soon, user-friendly filters to help you find your perfect spot.
We’ve partnered with a growing number of campsites to enhance our platform, and we’re proud to already be working with some amazing ones — and we’re just getting started!

We believe campers should see exactly what they’re booking, know whether there’s shade or sun, and enjoy the trip without unnecessary hassle.
