Welcome to Lazy JD RV Park, an enchanting summer vacation destination nestled in the serene landscape of Piedmont, South Dakota. Open from May 1st to October 1st (weather permitting), this RV park is designed to provide a truly relaxing and enjoyable camping experience, surrounded by rolling hills and awash in nature’s beauty. Located conveniently just 8 miles from downtown Rapid City, you’ll find yourself perfectly situated for adventure while being away from the hustle and bustle of Interstate noise.

About Lazy JD RV Park

Lazy JD RV Park features:

• 22 Full Hookup Sites: Each equipped with 20/30/50 amp plug-ins, ideal for accommodating a variety of RV sizes.
• Spacious Pull-Throughs: Sites are arranged for easy entry and exit, with lengths of up to 150 feet on a flat gravel surface that eliminates the need for excessive leveling.
• Private Amenities: Enjoy a shower and laundry building that offers private access for your comfort.
• WiFi Coming in 2024: Stay connected with planned WiFi service for all guests.

As you wander through the park, keep an eye out for wildlife such as deer and wild turkeys, especially during the early mornings.

Rates

Lazy JD RV Park offers a range of affordable pricing options to fit your needs:

• Daily Rates: $40 for primitive tent camping, $75 for RV sites.
• Weekly Rates: $250 (note: not valid during Sturgis Rally).
• Monthly Rate: $800, which includes electricity.
• Rates are for two adults; an additional $10 per night per person age 12 and older, and children under 12 stay free.

For laundry, enjoy large-capacity washers and dryers at $1.50 each, operated on an honor system.

Pet Policy

Pets are welcome at Lazy JD RV Park! Please keep them secured on a 6’ leash or in a kennel, clean up after them, and use the designated dumpster for waste disposal. There are two veterinary facilities within 5 miles should you need any assistance while traveling with your furry friends.

Directions

Getting to Lazy JD RV Park is easy! Follow these directions based on your approach:

• From the East: Use I-90 Exit 52, proceed East for 1.2 miles on Peaceful Pines Road, turn left on Erickson Ranch Road and proceed North for 3.3 miles.
• From the West: Use I-90 Exit 46, follow Elk Creek Road East for 5 miles, then turn right on Erickson Ranch Road and continue South for 2 miles.

Note: If you’re coming from the East, please disregard your GPS if it directs you to Exit 55 Deadwood Ave and continue to Exit 52.
