Welcome to Big Springs Warming Hut, a picturesque campground nestled in the heart of Island Park, Idaho. Located 22 miles south of West Yellowstone, Montana, at an elevation of approximately 6,300 feet, this site offers campers a unique blend of outdoor adventure and stunning natural beauty.
Available Campsites
The campground features a spacious parking area equipped with 20-amp electric hookups. Campers should note that while there is no drinking water on-site, water is accessible at Big Springs Campground, located just 2.5 miles away. Firewood can also be purchased there, and a conveniently located vault toilet is available beside the warming hut.

Big Springs is renowned for being the headwaters of Henry’s Fork, one of the largest springs in the country, which is also celebrated as one of the best fisheries in the nation. Surrounded by the Caribou-Targhee National Forest, visitors are treated to breathtaking scenery, including:

Need to Know
Before heading out, please remember to bring your own drinking water. To prevent the spread of tree-killing pests, be sure to obtain firewood near your destination and burn it on-site. Make sure to review all rules and reservation policies before your visit.
