- Extensive Rail Network: With over 32 miles of 7.5-inch gauge track, guests can enjoy scenic rides on miniature trains or participate in train operations during events.
- Campgrounds:
- Six Acre Campground: Exclusive for tent camping, this area offers a rustic experience with porta-potties and communal water spigots. Cost is $15/night from June 19th to June 29th.
- South Meadow: Ideal for RV enthusiasts and camping trailers, this dry-camping site accommodates those who are self-contained. Water is available at communal spigots.
- Safety Equipment: To ensure a safe camping experience, each train must carry essential tools like fire extinguishers and shovels, complying with fire safety regulations.
- Shuttle Services: Complimentary transportation options including shuttle trains, golf carts, and vans are available to move guests between the parking area and Central Station.
Dog Policy
Train Mountain welcomes well-behaved dogs! A designated dog park allows dogs to roam off-leash. Owners are responsible for their pets and must clean up accordingly. Dogs should be leashed outside the park area and must be managed to ensure quiet behavior to avoid disturbances.
Event Information
Train Mountain Railroad hosts the renowned Triennial event, a significant gathering for train enthusiasts, offering days filled with activities, lectures, and live steam operations. This event showcases the vibrant community of live steamers, featuring hundreds of participants from around the world. The next Triennial is scheduled for June 14th to June 29th, 2025.
Camping Fees and Reservations
The camping fees are $15/night during events, and spaces fill quickly, so early registration is advised. Reservations provide access to the amenities of Train Mountain while ensuring a magnificent landscape for relaxation and enjoyment.
