Bear River Group Campground is nestled in the stunning Eldorado National Forest at an elevation of 6,000 feet, providing a scenic retreat in the heart of the Sierra Nevada mountains. It is conveniently located just a mile’s drive from the sparkling waters of the Lower Bear River Reservoir, making it perfect for water-based activities and exploration.

Available Campsites

This campground features four distinct group campsites:

• Site 001 (Loop KOKA): Accommodates up to 50 people, ideal for large gatherings.
• Site 002 (Loop JUNC): Suitable for groups of up to 25.
• Site 003 (Loop CHIP): Can host 25 guests, perfect for family or friend reunions.
• Site 004 (Loop SMOK): Another site for groups of up to 25, ensuring ample options for your group size.

• Maximum Stay: Camping is limited to a maximum of 14 days within a calendar year.
