For water enthusiasts, nearby Earthquake Lake and Hebgen Lake boast excellent fishing and boating opportunities. Earthquake Lake features a visitor center with informative displays about the famous 1959 earthquake that created this picturesque landscape.

Need to Know

Before you head out, keep these important points in mind:

Be cautious as bears frequent the area. Store all food in secure containers when your campsite is unoccupied.
Please note that there are no RV dump stations within the USFS campgrounds managed by ExplorUS in the Custer-Gallatin National Forest.
Firewood is available for purchase at the campground for $10.00 per bundle.
There are also no shower facilities at this campground, so plan accordingly.
