Cleator Bend is a group campground located on the northern banks of the Breitenbush River, providing a serene and beautiful setting. It is managed by Linn County Parks and Recreation and is capable of accommodating up to 45 guests. The campground provides a variety of amenities for a comfortable camping experience, making it an ideal base for activities such as fishing, hiking, biking, and exploring the stunning surroundings.

Important Guidelines

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, please keep the following in mind:

Be bear aware: Keep all food out of sight in certified containers or locked in vehicles and remove all food waste after eating.
Campfires allowed: Fires are permitted until otherwise posted, but be aware that fire bans are common during the summer months.
Do not move firewood: Prevent the spread of invasive species by obtaining and burning firewood near your camping location.
No discharging of firearms, possession of fireworks, or use of chainsaws is allowed.

Getting There

Access to Cleator Bend Campground is straightforward. From Highway 22 at Detroit, turn onto Breitenbush Road/Forest Service Road 46, and proceed approximately 9.8 miles until you find the campground on the right.
