9 Walk-in Tent Sites: Secluded spots for a more intimate camping experience away from the main campground hustle.

Rates and Fees

Camping at Ochoco Lake County Park is not only an enriching experience but also affordable:

$10 per person per night for Hiker/Biker Tent Area Only.
$25 per night for RV/Tent Sites.
$7 per night for extra vehicles (cyclists and walk-in hikers only).
Day Use Area: Free access for those looking to enjoy the park without camping.

Additional supplies like firewood ($7/bundle), ice ($5 for 7lb or $7 for 20lb), and worms ($5/dozen) are available for purchase from the camp hosts at the site.

Unique Aspects

One of the standout features of Ochoco Lake Campground is its stunning location. Perched on a peninsula, many campsites offer beautiful views of the lake, creating a picturesque backdrop for your camping trip. The campground is surrounded by a dense canopy of Juniper trees, providing shade and a sense of seclusion for campers.

Reservations are recommended as this campsite fills up quickly, with options available up to thirteen months in advance. Please note that online reservations cannot be made within 48 hours of arrival, but first-come, first-served spots are available as well!

Cautionary Notes

In mid to late summer, the water levels can drop in the lake, possibly complicating the launching of larger boats. Additionally, large RVs are not recommended due to the tight space in the campground.
