Nestled in the stunning Bighorn National Forest of Wyoming, West Tensleep Lake Campground is a quintessential escape for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. Set on the southern shore of picturesque West Tensleep Lake, this campground offers a peaceful retreat surrounded by stunning landscapes, abundant wildlife, and a plethora of recreational opportunities.

Campground Features

Scenic Location: Enjoy breathtaking views of the Bighorn Mountains while camping near alpine lakes and lush forests.
Campsites: The campground features several single-family sites, each equipped with a picnic table and a campfire ring with a grill. The sites are suitable for tent campers and small RVs.
Amenities: Accessible vault toilets, drinking water, and trash collection services are provided for your convenience.
Parking: Each site accommodates two vehicles, with an additional fee for a second vehicle. Please note that larger RVs and trailers are recommended to camp at Boulder Park Campground due to space limitations.
Firewood: Firewood can be purchased directly from the campground host.
Sustainable Practices: Campers are encouraged to buy firewood at or near their destination to prevent the spread of tree-killing organisms.

The campground is surrounded by a vibrant mix of lodgepole pine, Douglas fir, and spruce trees, providing ample shade and a tranquil atmosphere. West Tensleep Lake itself spans 125 acres, offering a serene environment that is perfect for canoeing and fishing, with opportunities to catch rainbow, brown, and brook trout in its cool waters.
