Located at an elevation of 2,650 feet along the scenic Laurel Fork Creek, this campground is a perfect destination for families, hikers, and anglers. Available Campsites

Dennis Cove Campground features 15 single campsites, including two double sites, each providing a unique outdoor experience. Amenities at each site include:

• Table for meals and activities
• Fire ring for campfires and cooking
• Lantern holder for safety and convenience

The campsites are all nonelectric, promoting a rustic camping experience surrounded by the sounds of nature.

Camp, RV, and Explore Outdoors

This campground is popular for its easy access to nearby trails and fishing opportunities. Laurel Fork Creek is stocked with rainbow trout, making it an excellent spot for fishing enthusiasts. The creek above the campground is a wild trout stream, offering the chance to catch brown, rainbow, and brook trout. Hikers can enjoy the Laurel Fork Trail (#39), which follows the creek upstream for 8 miles with multiple stream crossings.

For those looking for a longer hike, the Appalachian National Scenic Trail is also accessible just one mile west of the campground.

Need to Know

Before planning your visit, it’s essential to note that:

• Alcohol is prohibited on the premises
• All pets must be on a 6′ leash and owners are responsible for cleaning up after them
• Food storage is critical due to bear activity. Utilize bear-resistant containers and trash receptacles provided at the facility
• The campground gate operates from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. for accessibility
• Check-in times are from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. and check-out is by 11 a.m.
• The campground is currently closed due to weather conditions resulting from Hurricane Helene. Please check for updates before planning your trip.
