Completed in 1968, this campground is situated along the scenic Marion Reservoir, which spans an impressive 6,200 acres of shimmering water surrounded by 6,000 acres of lush public lands.

Location & Accessibility

Conveniently located off Highway 56 between the charming towns of Marion and Hillsboro, Hillsboro Cove is easily accessible for everyone, including those looking to enjoy a quiet camping trip. From Marion, visitors simply need to take Highway 56 for about five miles, turn right on Nighthawk, and then make another right into the park.

Available Campsites

Hillsboro Cove offers a variety of camping options to accommodate different group sizes:

• 51 Individual Campsites: Each equipped with tables, grills, sun shelters, and electric hookups.
• 1 Group Camping Area: Features a large shelter and can host up to 80 people.

Hillsboro Cove maintains its commitment to protecting local ecosystems. Visitors are encouraged to buy firewood locally to avoid introducing pests. Additionally, starting from November 1st, the campground transitions into its winter season, which includes the closure of some facilities, though vault restrooms will remain available.
