Indian Creek Campground, located in the picturesque eastern foothills of the Sierra Nevada, offers a serene escape into nature. Nestled between the charming California towns of Woodfords and Markleeville, this campground spans over 160 acres, providing visitors with a tranquil setting next to the stunning Indian Creek Reservoir.
Current Status
Important Notification: Please be advised that due to the extensive damage sustained during the 2021 Tamarack Fire, Indian Creek Campground is currently CLOSED. The campground will remain closed until the area can be made safe for public access and facilities can be adequately rebuilt.

- 30 Campsites: The campground features a variety of camping options including RV/tent sites, walk-to tent loops, and a group campsite.
- RV & Tent Loops: The RV/tent loop includes 19 sites that accommodate vehicles up to 34 feet, providing a comfortable space for a range of camping preferences.
- Walk-to Tent Loop: There are 10 tent sites in a loop that allows for a more secluded camping experience with parking nearby.
- Group Campsite: A designated site for groups of up to 40 campers, ideal for family gatherings or group outings.
- Facilities: The RV/tent loop features restrooms with flush toilets and hot showers, along with drinking water access.
