Lithia Springs Conservation Park

Located in the beautiful state of Florida, Lithia Springs Conservation Park offers a serene escape into nature with opportunities for swimming, camping, and outdoor activities. This 160-acre park is well known for its stunning natural spring, which maintains a refreshing temperature of 72 degrees year-round, making it an ideal swimming destination.

Camping Accommodations

The campground features 45 campsites, with the majority designed to accommodate RVs, trailers, or up to two tents per site. Campsites are available on a first-come, first-serve basis, encouraging guests to arrive early for the best selection. Here’s what you can expect:

Electrical Service: All sites offer 30 amp service, while 15 of them also provide 50 amp service.
Length of Sites: Sites range from 14 feet to over 100 feet, with most falling between 40 – 80 feet.
Facilities: Each campsite includes access to water, showers, picnic tables, restrooms, and fire pits.

Discounted Rates

Special discount rates are available for seniors:

55+ Discount: $18 per night for parties including at least one adult aged 55 or older.
65+ Resident Discount: $12 per night for parties that include an adult aged 65 or older, who is also a resident of Hillsborough County.
Regular Rate: $24 per night for up to 8 people with either 1 RV/trailer or 2 tents.

Swimming and Recreation

The swimming area is a major highlight, with a maximum capacity for 200 swimmers per time slot, divided into two four-hour intervals:

Time Slot #1: 9 AM – 1 PM
Time Slot #2: 2 PM – 6 PM

Due to high demand, visitors are advised to plan accordingly, as the swimming area can reach maximum capacity on weekends. Visitors can also enjoy fishing and volleyball during their stay.

Park Rules and Guidelines

To ensure a pleasant experience for all visitors, several guidelines must be followed:

Swim bands are for park guests only and cannot be purchased in advance or over the phone.
No rain checks or refunds for any fees paid.
Weekend swimming may close due to inclement weather such as thunder and lightning.
Bounce houses are not permitted within the park.

Additional Amenities

Lithia Springs Conservation Park also features picnic shelters, which are temporarily unavailable for rent from April to September. While enjoying your time, be sure to explore the extensive woodsy trails that wind through diverse plant communities, cypress swamps, and hardwood hammocks.

Group Camping Options

Additionally, the park accommodates non-profit, 501(c) youth groups with camping options for groups ranging from 12 to 50 individuals. These specific sites provide potable water, picnic tables, and fire pits, though they do not include electricity. Reservations require proof of organized youth group affiliation, with a cost of $2 per night per person.
