• Amenities: The campsite is equipped with cleaning stations, and has camp hosts on site from Christmas to mid-February.
• Activities: The safe estuary is perfect for swimming, while the beach is favored for surfing.
• Rules: No vehicle access to the beach is permitted, except at the south end for boat launching and fishing.

As a designated Pack In Pack Out campsite, Medlands Beach Campsite has no rubbish or recycling facilities available. Visitors are required to bring their own cooking equipment, scrub all soil off shoes and gear, and dispose of waste responsibly using the official council rubbish bags available at local shops.

The site also emphasizes the importance of protecting the environment. Guests are encouraged to follow guidelines to prevent the spread of kauri disease, refrain from starting fires, and respect local wildlife and habitats.
