Located in Bond, Colorado, the Pumphouse Recreation Area is an extraordinary gem that sits adjacent to the Gore Canyon and Hartman Canyon. The area boasts dramatic landscapes characteristic of Colorado’s mountainous terrain. Visitors are treated to ample wildlife viewing opportunities and an assortment of plant species, thanks to the diverse ecosystem.
Camping Facilities and Amenities
- 18 Single Campsites: Designed for a maximum of 10 people, ensuring an intimate setting for family or friends.
- 2 Group Campsites: These can accommodate up to 30 people, making it perfect for larger gatherings or group trips.
- Potable Water: Available in the campground, although not suitable for recreational vehicle fill-ups.
- Vault Toilets: There are 12 toilet facilities available for visitor convenience.
- Parking Areas: Both day use and overnight parking are available to make your stay hassle-free.
- Non-Motorized Boating: Enjoy leisurely paddling, fishing, and rafting along the river’s enticing waters.
Note that all campsites require reservations through Recreation.gov. Campsites typically become available at 1 PM on the first day of the reservation.

Important Information
The Pumphouse Recreation Area is open for camping and recreation from April 1 – November 30. Facilities and services will be closed from December 1 – March 31. A fee structure applies for day use and camping, with fees designated as follows:
- Single Campsites: $10.00 per site.
- Group Campsites: $30.00 per site, accommodating maximum group sizes.
- Additional Vehicles: $5.00 per day.
