Centennial Campground is nestled in east Anchorage, Alaska, conveniently located near downtown and the Glenn Highway, making it an ideal base for travelers looking to explore the majestic wilderness of Alaska. With a total of 84 campsites, Centennial Campground offers a diverse selection of options for visitors:

The campground serves as an excellent starting point for an Alaskan adventure, and guests are encouraged to visit the historic log cabin office for information and updates from the friendly seasonal hosts.

Rates and Reservations

The camping rates at Centennial Campground are as follows:

• $25.00 per night
• $35.00 per night with electricity

Reservations for campsites are available 24 hours in advance and can be made online through the ActiveNet system or by contacting the campground directly. Please note that Centennial Campground has a maximum stay limit of 14 days per year.

Important Guidelines

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all campers, visitors are requested to adhere to the following rules:

• All vehicles must remain on roads or in parking lots at all times.
• No more than two vehicles per campsite are allowed.
• Children must be supervised by parents at all times.
• Pets must be leashed or confined and should not disturb other campers.
• Quiet time begins at 10 PM; please keep noise levels down.
• Do not store food in tents or outside coolers to prevent attracting bears.
• Fireworks and firearms are not allowed in city parks.
• Dispose of trash in bear-proof containers provided on site.
• Leave wildlife undisturbed; approach wildlife of any species at your own risk.

Operating Hours and Season Dates

Centennial Campground operates from May 24 to September 2 each year. For 2024, please be aware that campsites 30 through 41 will be closed for the season.

While the front office will not be staffed during the summer, rest assured that security is present 24 hours a day, and campground staff will conduct rounds from 10 AM to 7 PM daily. For assistance, staff can be reached between 10 AM and 8 PM.
