Camping Reservations and Rates
Choinumni Park features various camping options for all types of adventurers. You can choose from individual campsites or group camping areas, with the following rates:
- Single Campsites: $25 per night (includes 1st vehicle entry fee)
- Seniors (62+): $9 per night (ID required, includes 1st vehicle entry fee)
- Disabled Veterans: $11 per night (valid ID and adjudication letter required)
- Group Campsite: $200 per night (10 vehicle minimum, plus $100 refundable cleaning deposit)
No prior reservations are needed for single campsites as they operate on a first-come, first-serve basis. However, group campsite reservations must be made in advance.

Location and Access
Choinumni Park is conveniently located 33 miles east of Fresno. To reach the park:
- Take Highway 180 east from downtown Fresno.
- Turn left onto Piedra Road after approximately 17.5 miles.
- Drive 8.2 miles to Trimmer Springs Road and turn right.
- Continue for one mile until you reach Pine Flat Road, then turn right and drive 100 yards to the entrance.
Park Hours
The park operates on seasonal hours:
- Summer Hours: April 1st – September 30th from 7 AM to 10 PM
- Winter Hours: October 1st – March 31st from 7 AM to 7 PM
Additional Information
All vehicles must pay an entrance fee of $5 per vehicle. Annual passes are available for $40, making frequent visits more affordable. Visitors are reminded that swimming in the river is discouraged during water releases due to increased currents.
