Located just 15 miles northwest of Moab, Utah, Utahraptor State Park Campground is a stunning new addition to Utah’s state parks, designed to immerse visitors in beautiful natural landscapes and rich cultural histories. Opened in 2021, this park features a variety of recreation opportunities set against the backdrop of the magnificent red rock terrain typical of the region. The park is still under development, providing a unique chance to experience its raw beauty while future improvements are underway.

Camping Options

The campground currently offers primitive camping options, where visitors can enjoy the great outdoors with minimal facilities. You can access camping via Dalton Wells and Willow Springs roads. Guests are encouraged to camp only in disturbed areas with existing fire pits to help preserve the pristine environment. This approach ensures that campers can enjoy a rustic experience while protecting the natural landscape.

Amenities

• Portable Toilets: Available from mid-February through mid-November.
• Fire Pits: Campfires are permitted only in established fire pits. Collecting firewood is not allowed.
• Self-Pay Fee Station: Fees can be paid via cash, check, or credit at designated stations along the roads.
