Nestled in the stunning Yadkin River Valley in western North Carolina, Warrior Creek Campground is a perfect destination for those seeking outdoor adventures and a serene escape amidst nature. The campground sits along the south side of the W. Kerr Scott Reservoir, providing ample opportunities for its visitors to enjoy an array of recreational activities.
Available Campsites
Warrior Creek features a total of 61 family campsites, each designed to cater to the needs of campers. Among these, you’ll find:
- 6 Tent-Only Sites: Equipped with electric hookups
- 55 Standard Electric Sites: Ideal for RVs with full electrical and water hookups
- 2 Group Camping Areas: Perfect for hosting larger gatherings and camps
Most camping areas have a gravel base, so it is advisable to bring extra padding for tents. All camping must be conducted within designated campsites and requires prior reservations.

Warrior Creek is an adventurer’s paradise with a variety of outdoor activities to choose from:
- Hiking and Mountain Biking: Enjoy 17 miles of scenic trails recognized by the International Mountain Biking Association, perfect for bikers, hikers, and trail runners.
- Fishing: The nearby reservoir offers fishing opportunities for a variety of species including channel catfish, largemouth bass, bluegill, and more.
- Boating and Canoeing: The 1,475-acre reservoir is ideal for canoeing, kayaking, and other water sports.
Please note that swimming is currently unavailable at the swim beach.

- Fishing Piers: Three fishing piers are available, one of which is ADA accessible.

Before you plan your visit, please keep in mind the following:
- Reservation Requirements: All camping reservations must be made in advance; no on-site transactions are allowed.
- Check-in and Check-out: Check-in time is after 3 PM, and check-out is at 12 PM.
- Quiet Hours: Maintain quiet hours from 10 PM to 6 AM; generators and music must cease during this time.
- Rules and Regulations: Alcoholic beverages and off-road vehicles are prohibited; please respect the park’s regulations for a safe and pleasant experience.
- Discounts: Golden Age and Access Passes are accepted, providing a 50% discount on camping fees.
