Arrowhead Campground is nestled within the serene Uwharrie National Forest and the picturesque Badin Lake Recreation Area. This campground serves as an ideal base for outdoor enthusiasts, offering a diverse range of activities amidst the stunning natural landscape of central North Carolina.

Available Campsites

The campground features a variety of camping options:

• Standard Nonelectric Sites: Sites 1 to 11 and 46 to 50 are non-electric, providing a rustic camping experience ideal for tent campers.
• Standard Electric Sites: Sites 12 to 45 come equipped with 50-amp, 30-amp, or 110-volt outlets, providing modern amenities for RV travelers.
• Tent-Only Sites: Campsites 21 and 23 are dedicated for tent camping only, ensuring a peaceful environment away from RVs.

All sites are equipped with picnic tables, lantern posts, and campfire rings with grills, ensuring that campers have all the essentials for a comfortable stay.

Camp, RV, and Explore Outdoors

Arrowhead Campground is open year-round, providing ample opportunities for exploration and adventure. The surrounding Badin Lake allows for:

• Boating and Fishing: Enjoy water activities such as swimming and picnicking on the shores of the lake.
• Hiking & Biking: Over 40 miles of non-motorized trails are available for horseback riding, mountain biking, and hiking.
• Off-Road Vehicle Riding: Enjoy 17 miles of designated trails specifically for motorized vehicles from April 1 to December 15.
• Hunting Opportunities: The area is also known for both big and small game hunting.

Natural Features

The campground is enveloped in a dense forest of pine, oak, and hickory, providing a perfect backdrop for outdoor activities. Its proximity to the 5,000-acre Badin Lake enhances the overall camping experience, offering beautiful waterfront views and recreational opportunities.

Recreation and Amenities

Along with excellent camping facilities, Arrowhead Campground offers:

• Hot showers and flush toilets for convenience.
• A dump station for gray water disposal and potable water fill-up.
• On-site campground host for visitor assistance.

Campers are reminded to respect fellow guests, keep pets and children under control, and adhere to campground rules including the prohibition of fireworks.

Families will find plenty to explore nearby, including theme parks, petting zoos, and nature centers, all under an hour’s drive away, perfect for day trips and added fun during your stay.

Need to Know

Occupancy rates are:

• Single Sites: $27 per night
• Double Sites: $54 per night

Note that campers must pay an electric surcharge at sites with electric hookups even if electricity is not utilized. All reservations must adhere to specific guidelines, including non-reservable sites that are first-come, first-served located at Campsites 20 and 31.
