In the heart of the charming village of Pieterburen, just a stone’s throw from the UNESCO World Heritage Wadden Sea, lies the small and welcoming Camping Boetn Toen. The campsite is run by friendly volunteers who create a warm and homely atmosphere, making every guest feel at ease.

Camping Pitches

• Spacious pitches for tents, caravans, trailer tents, and motorhomes.

• All pitches come with free electricity (6A) and WiFi.

• Showering and toilet paper are included in the price.

• Motorhome pitches are paved, suitable for vehicles up to 8m length / 3.5 tons.

• Caravan pitches are semi-paved and surrounded by greenery, while tent pitches are located on a car-free field where guests can freely choose their spot.

Rental Accommodations

• Log Cabins (2–4 persons): fully equipped with beds, small kitchen facilities, electricity, and outdoor terrace.

• Mobile Home “De Zeester” (4 persons): ideal for families, with living/dining area, kitchen, bedrooms, and private toilet.

• Luxury Rental Caravan “De Wulk” (2 persons): a cozy option with a spacious awning, where pets are welcome in a crate.

• Basic Rental Caravans (2 persons): simple overnight stays with bed, seating area, electricity, and small terrace.

• Modern sanitary building with free showers and dishwashing area (hot & cold water).

• Chemical toilet disposal available.

• Communal areas such as ‘t Proathoes (reception & lounge), De Kaap (indoor lounge with fridge, microwave, coffee maker), and De Schoelstee (large covered outdoor terrace built by volunteers).

• Laundry facilities, mudflat shoes rental, fire pit and wood available for a fee.

• Pets are allowed on pitches (on a lead or caged, surcharge).

Location & Surroundings

Camping Boetn Toen is perfectly located for mudflat hiking, walking, cycling, and canoeing. The village of Pieterburen is home to the famous seal sanctuary, the medieval Petruskerk, the Domies Toen botanical garden, and several museums, restaurants, and cafés. Nearby routes such as the Pieterpad and North Sea Cycle Route make it an excellent base for active holidays.

Practical Information

• Open until September 30th, 2025.

• Reception hours: 9:30–10:00 AM and 4:00–5:30 PM.

• Free parking available at Pieterplein, next to the campsite (limited paid parking on site).

• Pets are not allowed inside accommodations (except in the awning of De Wulk).

• Payment is made on arrival for camping pitches; for accommodations, advance payment and cleaning fee apply.
