Camping Accommodations

Catawba Falls Campground offers a wide variety of camping options to suit every camper’s needs, including:

• RV Sites: Choose from 30 or 50/30 amp full hookup sites. Most of these premium sites back up to the river, giving you stunning views and an opportunity to enjoy the sounds of nature. Rates vary from $60 to $90 per night during holidays.
• Tent Camping: Enjoy the great outdoors with our primitive tent sites or drive-up water and electric tent sites. The rates range from $30 to $50 depending on the amenities. Each site can accommodate one tent and up to four adults, with extra charges for additional campers.
• Cabin Rentals: For those who prefer an elevated experience, stay in one of the two primitive cabins. Named River Haven and Laurel Haven, these cabins offer cozy accommodations with essential amenities like a fridge, heating, and air conditioning. River Haven sleeps 4 while Laurel Haven accommodates up to 6 guests.

• Clean Bathhouse: Facilities include showers and restrooms that are conveniently located near the playground.

• Wi-Fi Access: While not guaranteed, free Wi-Fi is available, mostly around the main bathhouse and pavilion.
• Laundry Facilities: On-site laundry for your convenience.
• Fishing and Hiking: With direct access to the Catawba River, camping guests can enjoy fishing, along with extensive nearby hiking trails, including the famous Catawba Falls Trailhead located only half a mile from the campground.

General Information

Check-in is after 12 PM, and check-out is before 11 AM. Guests are reminded to respect quiet hours beginning at 10 PM. Furthermore, Catawba Falls Campground strictly prohibits burning trash or metal in fire rings, and only established trails are allowed for hiking along the river and in the mountains.

COVID-19 Precautions: The campground is currently closed due to extensive repairs after the damages from past storms. However, they are offering limited camping spaces for those in need until further notice.
