Situated along the expansive and picturesque banks of the Robert S. Kerr Reservoir in Keota, Oklahoma, Cowlington Point is a splendid destination for camping enthusiasts and nature lovers alike. With a total of 38 campsites available, the campground provides a serene environment ideal for families, friends, and solo adventurers looking to reconnect with nature.

The reservoir spans over 43,000 surface acres and boasts more than 250 miles of shoreline, providing ample chances for fishing, boating, and kayaking. Available Amenities
- Campsites: 38 designated sites, including options for both electric and non-electric setups.
- Boat Ramps: Two boat ramps with courtesy docks for easy access to the scenic waters.
- Recreational Facilities: Volleyball court, picnic areas, and a group shelter for gatherings.
- Playground: A designated area for children (please note it is currently unavailable due to fire damage).
Camping Regulations & Guidelines
Cowlington Point encourages responsible camping to maintain the natural beauty of the area. Key regulations include:
- Campers must occupy the site at least once every 24 hours.
- All sites should be kept clear of trash and litter throughout your stay.
- The maximum stay is limited to 14 consecutive days within any 30-day period.
- Fires should be contained within designated fire rings or grills.
- Quiet hours are observed from 10 PM to 6 AM.
- Pets must be leashed and are prohibited in swim beaches and bathrooms.
Check-In/Check-Out Procedures
Check-in time is at 6 PM, while check-out is by 3 PM. Camping reservations can be made on the same day, but it is advisable to check for availability beforehand. If you encounter a gate attendant (available Thursday through Tuesday from 4 PM to 10 PM), please check in with them; otherwise, a volunteer will assist during daily patrols.

Important Notifications
Please note that beginning December 1, 2024, Cowlington Point will partially open for day use and boat ramp access only, with camping unavailable until March 1, 2025.
