Davis Creek Campground — Kankakee River State Park

The park offers 98 sites at Chippewa Campground, including Class BE sites with electricity only and Class C sites with no electricity. Potawatomi Campground has 110 Class A sites with showers and electricity.

The campground is open from April 1 through November 15. The Equestrian Campground is open from April 1 through October 31.

Campers have access to showers and sanitary facilities in the Class A area. Campsites also have picnic tables and camp grills, and the campground has water hydrants and a dump station. Five handicap-accessible campsites are located near the shower buildings.

Campgrounds close at 10 p.m. Quiet hours are from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m., and no vehicular traffic is allowed during that time. Alcohol is not allowed in the park or campgrounds.

An Emerald Ash Borer quarantine is in effect for Kankakee County, so no firewood can be brought into or taken out of the park.
