About Glan Mydyr

Opened in March 2018, Glan Mydyr is a secluded haven just a short drive away from the vibrant coastal town of Aberaeron, known as “the jewel of Cardigan Bay.” Here, guests can experience the rich wildlife and serene environment, where the sounds of a flowing river and chirping birds create a peaceful atmosphere.

The site boasts 5 beautifully crafted Mongolian yurts, each uniquely named after local wildlife: Heron, Woodpecker, Robin, Nuthatch, and Owl. These spacious 6-metre yurts are designed to accommodate up to 4 guests and feature a comfortable double bed and two singles, furnished with luxurious feather duvets and pillows for a restful sleep.

Each yurt comes with a variety of amenities to ensure a comfortable stay:

• Private Decking Area: Enjoy mornings and evenings on your own outdoor space with seating and a picnic bench.
• Camping Kitchen: Equipped with a two-burner gas cooker and grill for all your cooking needs.
• Cozy Furnishings: Each yurt is furnished with a hand-painted cupboard for storage and a leather sofa.
• Extras Available: An additional bed can be added for a small fee, and bed linen can be hired for a nominal charge.

Planning Your Visit

Guests are welcomed throughout the year, with a minimum two-night stay requirement. Arrival is welcomed after 2 PM and must be completed by 7 PM, ensuring you maximize your time enjoying the enchanting surroundings. Check-out is at 11 AM on your departure day.

Important Notes: Please bring your own bed linen as it is not provided. For those traveling with pets, please note that dogs are not allowed on the premises. Additionally, guests are requested to abstain from smoking within the yurts or communal areas for the comfort of all visitors.
