Nestled in the heart of Frankenwald, Höllental Camping offers a unique camping experience in Lichtenberg, Germany. Spanning nearly 4 hectares, this picturesque campground features approximately 190 pitches equipped with electricity, ideal for both long-term campers and tourists. Set right next to the beautiful Frankenwaldsee, which serves as a natural swimming pool, it provides guests with direct access to refreshing waters and stunning natural surroundings.

Location and Access

Höllental Camping is easily accessible via several roads and is open year-round. To reach the site, follow the signs directing you through nearby towns. Please be aware of a planned road diversion starting June 10, 2024. The nature reserve of Höllental lies just east of the campground, inviting enthusiasts to explore its rich biodiversity and scenic trails.

Amenities and Facilities

• Modern Sanitary Facilities: The campground boasts well-maintained sanitary buildings that include showers, toilets, and washing areas. Shower facilities operate at a nominal fee of €0.50 for a 2-minute water run.
• Utility Services: Guests have access to functionalities for waste disposal and a well-organized recycling system for solid waste.
• Recreational Options: Höllental Camping offers a variety of sports activities including volleyball, basketball, and table tennis. With multiple hiking and biking trails surrounding the area, outdoor lovers will find plenty of opportunities to enjoy nature.
• Dogs Allowed: Four-legged friends are welcome at the campsite, although owners must keep them leashed at all times.
• On-Site Kiosk: A small kiosk is available for snacks and essentials, along with services such as petrol and gas bottle refills. Additionally, seasonal services such as a bread roll delivery operate from Easter to October.

For a convenient stay, check-in begins at 2 PM, and guests are kindly requested to vacate their pitches by 11 AM on their departure day.
