The park is on the Hibiscus Coast, about 35 minutes north of the Auckland Harbour Bridge, at the base of the Whangaparoa Peninsula.
Red Beach is about 500m long with a patrolled area, and the park also has its own private beach, Jacobs Ladder, which is only 100m away.
Facilities include a dump station, TV/recreation room, communal kitchen and bathroom, kids playground, climbing frame, kids cycle track, flying fox, table tennis, basketball court/half court, and a seasonal food outlet and outdoor cinema.
Dogs are not allowed anywhere in the park. Other pets are welcome only on powered and unpowered sites, and only by prior arrangement.
The park offers cabins, chalets, family units, self-contained units, and a range of powered and unpowered sites for tents, campervans, motorhomes, and caravans.
