Located within the stunning Sand Lake Recreation Area, this campground provides year-round access to nearly 1,100 acres of breathtaking coastal sand dunes surrounded by lush forests and adjacent to the breathtaking Pacific Ocean.

Sandbeach Campground features a total of 81 reservable campsites, designed for standard nonelectric camping. Each site is equipped with essential amenities to ensure a comfortable stay:

Need to Know
It’s important to note that during the winter months (November to April), certain campsites may experience flooding and therefore will not be available for reservation. These sites will operate on a first-come, first-served basis. Additionally, please refrain from moving firewood as part of efforts to protect the Pacific Northwest forests from invasive species. Driving Directions
For those planning to visit, here are two routes based on your starting point:
- From Pacific City, OR:
- Take Highway 101 to Brooten Road and turn left.
- At the four-way stop, turn left onto Pacific Ave.
- Cross the bridge, then right onto Cape Kiwanda Drive.
- After 2.3 miles, bear left onto Sandlake Road.
- Continue for 5.2 miles, then turn left onto Galloway Road.
- Follow Galloway Road for 2.3 miles, then left onto Forest Road 1131, where the entrance is on the right after 0.2 miles.
- From Tillamook, OR:
- Follow Highway 101 south for 11 miles to Sandlake Road.
- Turn right and travel 4 miles to the stop sign.
- Turn left to stay on Sandlake Road for 1 additional mile, then right onto Galloway Road.
- Continue for 2.3 miles and turn left onto Forest Road 1131, with the entrance on the right after 0.2 miles.
