Located near Solon, Iowa, Lake Macbride State Park is a beautifully designed outdoor space that provides various recreational activities and comfortable camping options. Campground Amenities

The campground at Lake Macbride State Park is divided into two areas, offering distinct features tailored to the needs of various campers:

• Modern Campground: Located in the northern unit of the park, this campground features full and electric hookups, modern restrooms, a shower facility, and a trailer dump station.
• Non-Modern Campground: Nestled in a shaded setting near the lake in the southern unit, this campground provides a more rustic experience, with some campsites available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Advance reservations can be made for both campgrounds through the online reservation system. Please note that both campgrounds will close for winter on November 1.

• Concessions: A concession stand is available near the beach for snacks and refreshments.

• Check on the availability of campsites and make advance reservations where possible.
• Know that a 10 hp motorboat limit is in effect from the Friday before Memorial Day through Labor Day, and motorboats must not exceed 5 mph on the lake.
• Bring your own equipment, or take advantage of the rentals available at the beach.
