Available Campsites

The Yellowjacket Guard Station features a singular cabin, providing accommodations for up to three individuals. The cabin includes:

Two bedrooms: one with a full bed and the other with a single bed.
A cozy living room equipped with a couch, a wood stove, a table, and chairs.
A small kitchen featuring a propane range/oven, a propane refrigerator, and a sink (please note, there is no running water).

Guests are required to bring their own drinking water, linens, bedding, dishes, utensils, and cookware to enhance their stay.

This facility operates as a pack it in, pack it out campground, meaning that all trash must be carried away upon departure. Enjoy the scenic landscape while exploring a multitude of recreational activities such as hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, and off-roading on the diverse trail systems surrounding the area. Water is not available at the facility; guests must bring their own.
No walk-ins are allowed; reservations must be made via the National Recreation Reservation Service.
The guard station is equipped with propane lights and an outhouse toilet located outside on a small hill.
In order to prevent pest migration, do not move firewood. Firewood should be sourced near your camping destination.
Hay brought for horses must be certified weed-free.
