Accommodations

Canton Lake Campground features 60 RV sites and 15 primitive sites, ensuring that there is something for everyone. Each site is equipped with water and electrical hookups, except for a small area comprising 5 primitive sites. Additionally, the campground includes:

• A cozy shower house for your convenience
• A first aid station for emergencies
• Vending machines offering snacks and beverages
• A well-maintained playground for children
• Designated parking for each unit, accommodating one vehicle per cabin

Cove Cabins

For those looking for a unique lodging experience, the Cove Cabins are available for rental during the camping season. Each cabin is designed to sleep two guests and features:

• Twin-sized bunk beds
• Electricity, heating, and air conditioning
• A compact refrigerator and microwave
• A dining table for family meals

It is important to note that these cabins do not have running water or restrooms, and guests must bring their own linens and sleeping bags.

• Fishing: All fishing must comply with state regulations, and fishing is allowed only with two poles and lines. The lake is home to species like channel catfish, blue catfish, largemouth bass, and crappie.
• Boating: The campground provides boat slips for rent on a seasonal, monthly, weekly, or daily basis, with availability on a first-come, first-served basis.
• Kayaking: Kayak launches are available for those who wish to explore the waters.
• Nature Trails: The Lake Canton Nature Trails span 1.92 miles and provide stunning wooded paths that often follow the lake’s shore. It’s perfect for hiking, jogging, or leisurely walks.

These trails are dog-friendly, although pets are not permitted inside the cabins. Trail maps are available for those interested in the various hiking options.

Facilities and Cleanliness

Guests are expected to maintain cleanliness and are responsible for trash removal before checkout. There is a dumping station for waste disposal conveniently located within the campground, managed by the city with weekly pumping. It is also essential to be aware that open-flame cooking is not allowed inside the cabins or on porches, and smoking is not permitted inside the cabins.

Visitor Information

Upon arrival, check-in is at 3:00 PM and checkout is at 10:00 AM.
