FAQ
Clark State Forest has two nonelectric campgrounds that are first-come, first-served: a Family Campground with 40 sites and an Equestrian Campground with 28 sites. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring, and equestrian sites also include a hitching post.
The forest has five rent-a-camp cabins available from April 1 through mid-November. Each cabin has a porch with a swing, two small rooms, beds, ceiling fans, a heating/cooling unit, and electrical outlets. Linens and mattresses are not provided.
There are pit toilets and water supplies throughout both campgrounds year-round. A modern comfort station in the equestrian campground is available to guests of both campgrounds and includes showers, toilets, urinals, sinks, and changing tables for young children.
Seven lakes on the property are open to boating and fishing. All are trolling-motor-only, swimming is not permitted, and a DNR lake permit is required for boats, canoes, and kayaks. A valid Indiana fishing license is also required.
Visitors can hike the property, including fire lanes and horse trails. The forest also has a shooting range, picnic areas and shelters with tables and grills, a fire tower, seven playgrounds, a ballfield, and basketball courts.
