- Natural Beauty: Enjoy the scenic beauty of the nearby Axolotl Lakes Wilderness Study Area, with lakes that are home to adorable Axolotl salamanders.
- Corral Facilities: A small corral is available for accommodating up to two horses, but guests must supply their own certified weed seed-free feed.
Cabin Amenities
Axolotl Cabin sleeps a maximum of seven people, making it ideal for family getaways or group trips. The sleeping arrangements include:
- 1 Full bed
- 1 Full-size fold-out futon
- 2 Single bunk beds
Please note that no bedding is provided, so plan to bring your own. The cabin features various amenities powered by both solar and propane:
- Solar Power: Lights and refrigeration operate on solar energy, but outages may occur.
- Propane Appliances: For cooking, the cabin includes a propane stove and oven; guests should familiarize themselves with operational instructions.

- Non-Potable Water: Available at the cabin, but it is advised to treat the water before consumption.

Important Notifications
Due to increasing popularity and maintenance requirements, please note the following:
- The cabin is set to close for maintenance from May 26, 2025, to June 8, 2025. During this time, no reservations will be accepted.
- Reservations will be available on a 6-month rolling basis, with dates releasing several months in advance. Be sure to check in for availability alerts.
- Access to the cabin may be compromised during wet conditions; a 4WD/High clearance vehicle is strongly recommended for the approach.
