Accessibility
To reach Briar Bottom, campers must enter through the main gate of Black Mountain Campground. The facility is open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.; late arrivals should notify the campground in advance.

Located at an elevation of 3,040 feet, the campground is surrounded by striking peaks, including the majestic 6,684-foot Mt. Mitchell. The area boasts rich wildlife, diverse plants, and stunning landscapes typical of the Appalachian Mountains.

Please note that the campground is currently closed until further notice due to significant impacts from Hurricane Helene. Visitors should regularly check for updates on the status of this facility.
