Nestled on the shores of the picturesque Lake Arbutus in Merrillan, Wisconsin, the Jackson County East Arbutus Campground offers a delightful escape for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. The campground boasts a range of amenities and activities designed to create a memorable experience for families, friends, and solo adventurers alike.

Camping Facilities

The campground features 187 campsites, with 136 offering electrical hookups. Of these, approximately 70 campsites are lakeside, providing stunning views and easy access to water activities. Specifically catering to off-road enthusiasts, there are also 38 designated ATV campsites, of which 26 are equipped with electricity. Although none of the sites are equipped with water or sewer hookups, you’ll find ample access to water and a convenient dump station within the park.

The campground is a haven for ATV and street legal motorcycle enthusiasts, with direct access to hundreds of miles of trails in Jackson County. Please note that ATVs are only allowed in designated areas, and a posted speed limit of 10 MPH is strictly enforced. Quiet hours, from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m., ensure a peaceful camping environment.

Each campsite is furnished with a picnic table and a fire ring, perfect for evening campfires under the stars. Additional picnic tables can be rented for a small service fee.

Reservations and Rules

Reservations are recommended and can be made from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend, with a minimum stay of three nights. A $10 reservation fee applies to each site. Campground attendants are available to assist during your stay, ensuring that you have everything you need for an enjoyable experience.
