Kankakee River State Park Equestrian Campground — Kankakee River State Park

The Equestrian Campground off Illinois Route 113 is open from April 1 through October 31.

The park offers 98 sites at Chippewa Campgrounds, with Class BE sites that have electricity only and Class C sites with no electricity. Potawatomi Campground has 110 Class A sites with showers and electricity.

Class A sites include showers and electricity. The campground also has access to showers and sanitary facilities, but the Equestrian Campground itself has no water available.

All campsites have a picnic table and a camp grill. Campground water hydrants are available, and there is a dump station at the front of the campground.

The campgrounds close at 10 p.m. and observe quiet hours from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m., with no vehicular traffic allowed during that time. No alcohol is allowed, and camping is only allowed in the campgrounds.
