Situated along the serene shores of the Shenandoah River in Bentonville, Virginia, Low Water Bridge Campground (LWBC) provides a unique blend of natural beauty and recreational opportunities. Established over 20 years ago, this privately owned campground is nestled in a picturesque setting, perfect for families and nature enthusiasts alike. Whether you’re planning to float down the river, enjoy fishing, or simply relax in the great outdoors, LWBC has something for everyone.
Camping Options
Low Water Bridge Campground offers a variety of campsites to suit different preferences:
- Riverfront Sites: Enjoy breathtaking views and easy access to the water for just $40 to $55 per night.
- Electric Sites: Equipped with 30 or 50-amp electrical service, prices vary from $45 to $55 per night.
- Non-Riverfront Sites: A more budget-friendly option, ranging from $30 to $35 per night.
Each campsite is designed to accommodate up to 8 people and includes two adults and two car passes. Children under 8 can join for free (limit 2).
Amenities
Our campground features excellent amenities to ensure a comfortable stay:
- Modern Restrooms: Six full bathrooms with hot showers are available for guests.
- Portable Toilets: Additional facilities are spaced throughout the campground.
- Campground Store: A small store offering essential items, bagged ice, and approved firewood for sale.
- WiFi: Available in and around the office area but may not cover the entire campground.
- RV Dump Station: Convenient for guests with RVs.
Activities
Low Water Bridge Campground is the perfect place for a range of outdoor activities:
- Tubing: Float down the calm Shenandoah River. Join at Hazard’s Ford and float back to the campground. Note that this is done at your own risk.
- Fishing: The Shenandoah River is home to various fish species; a valid Virginia fishing license is recommended.
- Campfires: Campfires are permitted, but firewood must be purchased on-site due to local regulations.
Rules and Regulations
To maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for all guests, LWBC has established several important rules:
- Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
- No outside firewood is allowed. All firewood must be purchased on-site.
- No firearms, fireworks, loud music, or ATVs are tolerated.
- Pets must be leashed and under control at all times.
- Guests are expected to clean up after themselves and respect their neighbors.
Violation of any rules may result in expulsion from the campground without a refund.
Booking and Reservations
To secure your spot at Low Water Bridge Campground, a deposit is required for reservations. Our reservation policy allows for one transfer to a different date if notified at least 10 days prior to your check-in. Please note that deposits are nonrefundable, and cancellations must be made timely to avoid penalties.
