Rancho Topanga is conveniently situated on the North side of Highway 170, approximately 11 miles west of Study Butte and 7 miles east of Lajitas. The entrance is clearly marked with a lit sign indicating “TENT CAMPING,” making it easy for visitors to find their way to this idyllic retreat.

Campsite Features

Tent Camping Only: The campground is designed for tent camping, with limited availability for small pop-up or teardrop campers (under 12′).

Guests should be aware that the campground is closed annually from June 1st through September 1st for repairs and updates. Shade can be sparse, so bringing canopies or umbrellas is advisable.
