Nestled on the picturesque shoreline of Stanley Lake, at the foot of the majestic Sawtooth Mountains, Stanley Lake Campground offers the perfect escape into nature. Located in the Sawtooth National Recreation Area, this campground provides campers with breathtaking views, diverse recreational activities, and an opportunity to enjoy the stunning Idaho wilderness.

The campground is set at an elevation of 6,500 feet, surrounded by a thick grove of lodgepole pines that offer partial shade and splendid views of the serene Stanley Lake. Camping and Campsite Amenities
Stanley Lake Campground features a total of 17 reservable campsites, as well as additional sites available on a first-come, first-served basis. Each campsite is equipped with:
- Vault toilets
- Drinking water
- Gravel roads and spurs for easy access
It’s important to note that the campground has been ‘realigned’; therefore, add “6” to previous site numbers to get the new designations (e.g., old #4 is now #10).

This campground is accessible from State Highway 21, requiring a scenic 4.5-mile drive west of Stanley, Idaho, followed by a 3-mile drive down the paved Stanley Lake Road. Enjoy the cool summer weather with average highs of 78°F and lows of 40°F, making it an ideal location to escape the heat.
