Getting There

Reaching the Werner Peak Lookout is part of the adventure. Follow these directions:

From Olney: Via Highway 93, take Upper Whitefish Road until you reach the intersection of Lower Whitefish Road (approximately 9 miles). Continue south on Lower Whitefish Road to the Werner Road junction (about 2 miles), then turn left and follow Werner Road to the lookout (approximately 6 miles).
From Whitefish: Take East Lakeshore Road up the east side of Whitefish Lake. This road intersects with Lower Whitefish Road at about 8 miles. Continue on Lower Whitefish Road until you reach the Werner Road junction (another 8.8 miles). Turn right onto Werner Road, which leads you to the lookout (approximately 6 miles).
