Nestled beside a 60-acre spring-fed lake, our campground offers a range of activities and amenities that cater to both outdoor enthusiasts and those seeking peaceful relaxation. With direct access to over 200 miles of ATV trails and exceptional fishing opportunities, Lake Joy Campground is the perfect getaway for adventurers and families alike.

Amenities

Modern Facilities: Clean restrooms featuring free showers, laundry facilities, and a well-stocked campground store offering bait, camping essentials, toiletries, and snacks.
Recreational Activities: A sandy swimming beach, inflatable water toys, boat rentals (including fishing boats, pedal boats, canoes, and kayaks), and a game room with ping-pong, pool, air-hockey, and arcade games.
Sports Options: Three playgrounds for children, basketball courts, sand volleyball courts, and tetherball.
Electrical Services: All sites come equipped with non-metered water and 30amp electrical service; some waterfront sites offer additional amenities.
Boat Facilities: We provide docks free of charge for lakefront sites as well as onsite boat storage at no extra cost.
Firewood Sales: Firewood available for sale from a state-certified vendor.

Camping Options

We cater to a variety of camping preferences, including:

RV Sites: Spacious, well-equipped RV sites with water and electric options (30amp or 50amp).
Tent Sites: Primitive wooded tent sites in peaceful areas of the campground.
Seasonal Sites: Long-term camping options that provide your camping space year-round with available winter storage.
Group Sites: Large, open areas suitable for family gatherings or special events (prior telephone reservations required).

Fishing & Swimming

One of the jewels of Lake Joy is its excellent fishing opportunities in our private lake where no fishing license is required. Anglers can expect to catch:

Large and small mouth bass
Walleye
Catfish
Pan fish (30 fish limit per person)

Our swimming area is a safe zone with inflatable toys for kids under 10 years of age and offers a perfect setting to cool off on warmer days. Please remember that life jackets are required for all swimmers.

ATV & Outdoor Activities

For outdoor enthusiasts, Lake Joy Campground is a part of the Tri-County ATV Trail System, providing direct access to over 200 miles of trails suitable for ATVing, biking, hiking, and snowmobiling. You can drive your ATV directly from your campsite to the trails without the hassle of trailering it. Restrictions on usage are in place to maintain a respectful and safe environment for all campers.

Campground Rules

To maintain a peaceful environment, we have several rules, including:

Quiet hours from 11 PM to 9 AM.
All visitors must register and pay applicable fees.
No outside firewood may be brought in without certification to prevent pests and disease.
Pets are welcome but must be leashed, and pet waste must be disposed of properly.

Reservation Information

Reservations can be made for a minimum of two nights. Special rates are available for long-term seasonal camping. Check-in times vary by day of the week, and all campers must adhere to our check-out policy to ensure a smooth transition for all guests.
